For the past 2500 years, many have come up with different interpretations for Daniel 9:24-27. Much of what I am going to present is therefore not new. However, I myself have struggled with this prophecy for the past 12 years. I have read just about every popular interpretation out there, but still something has always been missing. Dreams and Prophecy for Christians and Non Christians

Acts 2:17 Living Bible (TLB)
17 ‘In the last days,’ God said, ‘I will pour out my Holy Spirit upon all mankind, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men dream dreams.

The Question becomes: If dreams, visions and prophecy came as a gift of the Holy Spirit who then is giving dreams and visions to unbelievers. Can their dreams be interpreted, and should they be valued or are they all from Satan?

The New Testament Prophet

Ever since Azusa, the world has seen a rise in the number of prophets. In fact, we have more prophets now than there has ever been in the world since creation. Think about that for a moment. This office is riddled with controversy, and many doctrines have been formulated and preached regarding the status and role of the prophet in the life of a believer. This teaching seeks to bring a balanced, scriptural perspective on the subject. By the end of this we will see what exactly is the role of a prophet in the church and life of a born again believer.
