Seven Mysteries of The Bible

Listen to this article

Introduction

In March 2019, the Lord woke me up in the middle of the night to teach me about what he called, ‘The Seven Mysteries’ of the bible. He then went on to teach me about The Mystery of the Seven Stars and the Seven Lamb-stands which is revealed in Revelation Chapter 1. After giving me a detailed explanation of that mystery he then mentioned that the next mystery is The Mystery of the Woman, Babylon which is revealed in Revelation Chapter 17.

Then The Mystery of God which is in Revelation 10:7.

Next is the Mystery of Godliness which is in 1 Timothy 3:16 and the fifth mystery is the Mystery of Iniquity which is revealed in 2 Thessalonians 2.

So while he had explained to me the Mystery of the Seven Stars and Lambdstands in detail, the other four mysteries above, he only mentioned by name and verses and I remembered and understood them. He then told me to go into the bible, and find the other two mysteries. He told me not to go online or to read what anyone else has taught on the subject, but to simply read the bible, and the Holy Spirit would guide me.

I feel I am now ready to share this revelation. But I know, I have not yet fully understood it. I am still growing in my understanding of these Seven Mysteries of The Bible. I leant a lot, but for now, I am going to share only a summarized version.

List of The Seven Mysteries

1. The Mystery of the Seven Stars and Seven Lambstands (Revelation 1,2&3)

2. The Mystery Of the Woman/Babylon (Revelation 17:7)

3. The Mystery of God (Revelation 10:7)

4. The Mystery of Godliness (1 Timothy 3:16)

5. The Mystery of  Iniquity/lawlessness (2 Thessalonians 2:7)

6. The Mystery of The Kingdom/ The Faith (Mark 4:11)

7. The Mystery of the Gospel/The Word (Ephesians 6:19)

Approach

As I went into the scriptures to try and understand these mysteries, I found it very difficult and confusing. The Holy Spirit then said to me, that these seven mysteries are revealed in the bible. So don’t think of them as mysteries but rather as The Seven Revelations of the Bible. Don’t focus your mind on what’s hidden, but focus on . what is being revealed. The moment I did that, it became open and easy to process. Now, Let me get into the Seven Mysteries, one at a time and share only a summary of each.

1. The Mystery of the Seven Stars and The Seven Lamb-stands

I am going to presume that you will have the diligence to go and read these chapters for yourselves.

In Revelation Chapter 1, John sees a wonderful vision, of Jesus Christ in his glory and standing in the midst of Seven Lambstands with seven stars in his right hand. He then goes on to explain…

Revelation 1:20 New International Version (NIV)

20 The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

In Chapter 2 and 3 John is then instructed to write to each of the seven angels and the letters are sent to the seven churches which were in Asia Minor.

The Lord then said to me, Note that the scripture does not say, The Seven Stars are seven saints. It says, they are Seven Angels. The book of revelation distinguishes between saints and angels.  He said, The reason it says, The Seven Stars are Seven Angels is because they are actually Seven Angels, and there are actually seven angels.

These seven angels oversee the seven churches. They were there at the foundation of the church and are there today. In each of the seven churches that John writes to, there was a head, a saint who ministered with one of the seven angels. But when these seven heads died, the angel would minister under another person. This is why the scripture warns the church of Ephesus…

Revelation 2:5 New International Version (NIV)

5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

John wrote the letters to the seven churches about 96AD, 30 years after the death of Paul, Peter and the other apostles. The Lord then said to me, In the Time of Paul, even he was instructed to write to these seven churches. Look into the bible and you will see that Paul wrote many letters, but he wrote to only seven actual churches.

I immediately grabbed my bible and looked at the new testament index.

1. Romans (Church in Rome) 2. Corinthians (Church at Corinth) 3. Galatians (Church at Galatia) 4. Ephesians (Church at Ephesus 5. Philippians ( Church at Philippi) 6. Collossians (Church at Colossae) 7. Thessalonians (Church at Thessalonica)

The rest were letters to peoples but not addressed to particular churches. I was shocked. The Lord then said, Paul was writing to the seven Seven Angels. They are the seven seven angels in the time of John and these seven angels are ministering in every generation including today.

The Seven Angels of the Seven Churches continued

The Lord then said to me, these seven angels and seven churches are a revelation of the seven Spirits of God. Each of these seven angels reflects a particular aspect or one of the Seven Spirits of God. So when you look at each of the seven churches you should see the full manifestation of one of the seven spirits of God, and together, these  seven churches, reveal the fullness of The Seven Spirits of God.

he then explained that when John sees the vision. he only sees seven Lamb Stands, stands. He does not see the flames.  He sees the lamp stands, which he is told are the seven churches. But in chapter 4 when he ascends to heaven he then sees the seven flames. These seven flames which he sees on the throne of God, are the seven flames of the seven lampstands, and he is told that they are the seven spirits of God.

Revelation 4:5 New International Version (NIV)

5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a] of God.

The lamp stands are the seven churches on earth, but their fire burns in heaven. So each of the seven churches must reflect one of the Seven Spirit s of God, and together we must see a manifestation of the fullness of God.

All other churches, fall under one of these seven churches. And when we look in our generation will be able to identify which church is manifesting which aspect of the seven spirits of God.

Amen.

2. The Mystery of the Woman

In revelation Chapter 17, John is shown a prostitute who is seated on a seven headed beast. This prostitute has a title on her head written: Mystery Babylon, The Mother of All Harlots.

An angel then comes to explain to John.

Revelation 17:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.

When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.

7 Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

8 The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come.

…….

I am not going into the details of explaining this today. I will explain this in another teaching on Eschatology and The End Times.

As for now. I will say the mystery of the woman, is the mystery of Babylon. This Mystery was first revealed in Genesis 11 when the people were deceived by Satan to build a tower in rebellion against God’s instruction at creation. The crated the first Nation at Babel and all other nations and languages were originated there. In Isaiah 14, God reveals Lucifer as the spirit behind the tower of Babel and what his intentions were. He calls him the King of Babylon. In the book of Daniel, Israel is sent to babylon and Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel receive more revelation concerning this woman called Babylon and the beast that she rides and finally revelation 17 shows us her end.

Significance

The Mystery of Babylon is a revelation of the manifestation of Lucifer’s rule on earth and her destruction will bring about a manifestation of God’s Judgement and Justice on earth.

3. The Mystery of God

The mystery of God is spoken of in Revelation 10:7

Revelation 10:7 New International Version (NIV)

7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”

The mystery of God has been announced by the prophets throughout the bible, but it will be completed at the time when the seventh trumpet is about to be sounded. Let’s go to the sounding of the seventh trumpet and see how the Mystery of God is completed.

Revelation 11:15-18

15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voice sin heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying:

“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

18

The nations were angry, and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small—and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”

So, when the seventh angel sounds the last trumpet, we are given an announcement of the completion of the Mystery of God. Firstly, The mystery of God is completed when The Father and Jesus Christ have taken over all the kingdoms of the earth, and when his wrath has come and when it is now time to reward the servants of God, Judge the dead and destroy those who destroy the earth. When we get to that time, we will know that the mystery of God is completed. But what exactly is this mystery.

What is The Mystery of God?

The mystery of God is the mystery of his will. It is a revelation of God’s eternal purpose for creation. When God created all things in Christ Jesus, He created it for a purpose.

Let’s get into the scriptures a bit.

Paul explains the Mystery of God as the Mystery of the Father and of The Christ.

Colossians 2:2-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The Mystery of God is the mystery of The Father and of The Christ. The Father created all things in Jesus Christ and at the end, all things must be summed up in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:9-10 King James Version (KJV)

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

This is God’s eternal purpose, that all things must be gathered in Christ, at the fullness of time and when all things are gathered in Christ, Christ himself will go back into the father, and God the father will be in all things, and all things will be in God the father.

1 Corinthians 15:24-28 New International Version (NIV)

24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[a] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ.

28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

When the God is now in all his creation and all creation is now in God, then all will be God and God will be all. This is the mystery of God. This is the mystery of his will. This is his eternal purpose for his creation.

Amen.

As Paul reveals, that the Mystery of God, is the Mystery of The Father and of His Christ. So whenever he speaks of the Mystery of Christ, he is speaking of the Mystery of God.

So according to the Mystery of God, that all things must be gathered in Christ, Paul argued that Gentiles must also be fellow heirs in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

4. The Mystery of godliness

The mystery of godliness was the revelation of God in the flesh, as a man, as Jesus Christ.

1 Timothy 3:16 New King James Version (NKJV)

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:

God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit,

Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

This mystery of Godliness was revealed when The Word was made flesh: during Jesus time on earth. We got to see a perfect manifestation of God’s character in the flesh.

Hebrews 1:2-3 New International Version (NIV)

2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

5. The Mystery of Iniquity/ lawlessness

The mystery of lawlessness is the exact opposite of the Mystery of godliness.

It is a revelation of Satan in the flesh, as a man, as The Antichrist.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 New International Version (NIV)

3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

2 Thessalonians 2:7-9 New International Version (NIV)

7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,

We will touch more on this as we teach on Eschatology and The End Times. However, just as The Christ reveals God in the flesh in the mystery of godliness. The antichrist will be an exact revelation of Satan in the flesh in the mystery of lawlessness.

6. The Mystery of the Kingdom

The mystery of the kingdom of God, which is the mystery of the faith. It deals with how the kingdom of God will be revealed through the church.

Mark 4:11 King James Version (KJV)

11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

God’s rule and God’s wisdom will be revealed through the church.

Ephesians 3:10

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

…………………………………..

7. The Mystery of the gospel/ the word

The Mystery of the gospel is that Jesus Christ will be revealed to the world through the saints. That we as men will only realize our purpose and glory when we receive and manifest christ in us.

Ephesians 6:19 King James Version (KJV)

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Colosians 1:25-28 KJV

25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God;

26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
