6 Key PRINCIPLES ON JUDGING CHURCHES AND PROPHETS

Listen to this article

 Introduction

In one part of scripture the Lord Jesus tells us not to judge each other, in fact, the apostle Paul even says, “who are you to judge another man’s servant.” Yet the same Jesus tells us to beware of false prophets, and the same apostle Paul tells us that there are certain Christians that we need to stop associating with, and certain preachers we must reject. The apostle John even tells us not to greet certain prophets or welcome them into our churches. If we are not to judge others, or to judge the servants of God, what then gives us the right to cast out certain brethren and to stop greeting certain prophets and apostles? There is need to rightly divide the word of God.

Here are three Key principles for judging and testing prophets.

 1.) Do not judge UNRIGHTEOUSLY

The Lord Jesus did not completely forbid Christians from judging but what he forbade was unrighteous judgment. This principle is clearly explained by the Lord in the gospel of John.

John 7:24 (NKJV)   24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

The context of this chapter is that the Jews were debating whether Jesus was a true prophet or false prophet. On the previous feast, Jesus had gone to the pool of Bethesda and healed a man who had been crippled for 38 years. He told the man to carry his bed and walk, and this was on a sabbath day. According to the law that God had given to the Jews, anyone who broke the sabbath must be stoned, and so they sought to kill Jesus for healing this man on the sabbath.

At the next feast, there was a debate in Jerusalem concerning Jesus, but those who wanted to kill him, were saying that Jesus was performing miracles by a demon.

John 7:11-12 (NKJV)   1 Then the Jews sought Him at the feast, and said, “Where is He?” 12 And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, “He is good”; others said, “No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”

We have very similar discussions about prophets today. There are some saying this prophet is good, whilst others say, he is a deceiver.

In this case, the Jews that spoke against Jesus were in error. Jesus highlights the error in their doctrinal assessment. The law commanded people to seize from their OWN WORKS on sabbath not to seize from GOD’S WORK. He had explained it in the previous feast:

John 5:16-17 (NKJV)   16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”

He further explains this again, at this current feast.

John 7:23-24 (NKJV)   23 If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the law of Moses should not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath? 24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

 Judging by Appearance

What does Jesus mean when he says, do not judge according to appearance?

Even though Jesus was clearly showing from the scriptures that God’s work was allowed on Sabbath, the Jews still said he was a false prophet because they were judging by appearance. As you read from the other gospels you find that the people that had first said Jesus was performing miracles by a demon, were the Pharisees.

Jesus had said the Pharisees were blind hypocrites, the Pharisees were saying Jesus was a false prophet. Who should the Jews believe?

Firstly, consider that Jesus was only 30 years old. He was a young man, with only 1 or 2 years of ministry experience. The Pharisees and priests were old men, who had been ministering to the nation for decades. Some of them had raised and led millions of people for many years. The Pharisees were men of honour, they were the teachers of the law, who sat in the seat of Moses. They were very wealthy, which according to the people was a sign that God was blessing them, a sign that God approved of them. They owned houses and servants and chariots and they dressed in the most expensive and fashionable clothes of the day. They were revered and followed by all the millions of Israelites from all over the world.

Jesus was the son of a carpenter, he had a small following compared to the Pharisees. He was regarded as poor, with no property, no houses and no servants. If he was truly loved by God, then why wasn’t God blessing him, like he was blessing the Pharisees.

So, even though Jesus was right according to the scriptures, the Jews rather believed the Pharisees and condemned him because the Pharisees had the titles, the honour, the following, the wealth and the position. They concluded that he must be wrong, simply because of his status and outward appearance, and not because of the scriptures. This is judging by appearance, this is unrighteous judgment, this is judgment that Jesus forbids.

A lot of Christians today are exactly like these Jews. When there are men of God with different opinions on doctrine or social issues, they will follow the doctrine of the man of God who has the bigger following, the bigger position, the bigger assets and the more money.

They feel that if you are in line with God, then why is he not blessing you with material wealth. When there is a doctrinal disagreement between a young man of God and an older more experienced man of God, many people will just look at their ages, and go on the side of the older and more experienced man of God who has a big title and lots of achievements. This is how the Jews judged Jesus and missed out on God’s plan, this is judging by appearance, this is unrighteous judgment.

 So what is righteous judgment?

At the previous feast, after the healing of the crippled man on the sabbath, Jesus had already explained to the Jews what righteous judgment is.

 John 5:30 (NKJV)

30 I can of Myself do nothing.  As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous,  because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

Jesus is explaining what righteous judgment is. He is making reference to Isaiah.

 Isaiah 11:3-4 (ESV)

3 And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD.

He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear,

4 but with righteousness he shall judge the poor

He doesn’t judge anything by himself, but he first listens to what God says about an issue, and then judges based on God’s will and not his own. This is also how we must judge issues. We must not judge issues, churches or men of God based on our own preferences or opinions, we must find out what God says concerning that issue, and base our judgment on God’s will and not ours. In this way it is not you doing the judging, it is the God through his word.

 TEST 1 – AntiChrist Spirit

 1 John 2:22 (NIV)

22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.

If you meet a preacher who teaches that Jesus is not Christ or that Jesus and Christ are two different people, then that preacher is an antiChrist. I have met such preachers, and I know though they may be gifted, I know they are antiChrists. It is not me judging them as antiChrist, it is the word of God, and it is righteous judgment.

 TEST 2 – Self Deception

 1 John 1:8 (NIV)

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

If you here a preacher saying that they are sinless, then that preacher is deceived, and is not in the truth. I have heard many preachers teaching this, and I know they are lying. It doesn’t matter how big their following is or how many churches they have planted, they are deceiving themselves. I am saying this not because of my own opinion, but it is God’s word which has judged them. It does not mean the person is a Satanists, just that they are self deceived.

TEST 3 – Children of the Devil

 1 John 3:7-10 (NIV)

7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

10  This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are:  Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

There are people who declare with their mouths that they were made righteous by Christ, yet they continue to live sinful lives, practising wrong things and not walking according to love. I know preachers who have planted many big churches which h are revered today, yet they were sodomising little boys before preaching sessions, and some of them were sleeping with women at every revival  and church they are called to minister in. Scripture says, they are not righteous, and it also says they are children of the devil. This judgment is not mine, but God’s.

 TEST 4 – False Teachers

 2 John 1:9-11 (NIV)

9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

There are some people who started out well, but at some point started having ‘revelations’ that contradict the teachings of Christ. The word has said that a preacher who does not continue ion the teaching of Christ does not have God. I know many such preachers. The judgment is not mine but from the word. The word also judges that we should not welcome these people into our HOMES. The early church was conducted in people’s houses, so when it say’s don’t welcome them into your homes, it also refers to what we now call church building. If I don’t welcome someone who teaches false doctrine into my church, I am not judging them by my opinion, I am judging righteously because it is the word that has instructed.

 TEST 5 – Bad Brethren

However, if it is an unbeliever who has is living a wrong life, we can associate with them.

 1 Corinthians 5:9-11 (NIV)

9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

Eating was part of fellowship and church service in the early church. So it’s clear that the word says, we can associate with unbelievers who are immoral, but if someone says they are a Christian, but is refusing to change their lifestyle, continuing to be sexually immoral, to slander, or to be drunkards, or cheat people money, then we should not associate with them. We can remove them from our churches, unless and until they repent and or seek to be helped.

When you judge with righteous judgement, it is not you who is judging but God’s word becomes there judge.

John 12:48 (NKJV)   48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

 2.) TEST EVERY SPIRIT

The bible commands us not to believe every prophet that comes to us, but we must test the spirits of the prophets.

 1 John 4:1 (NKJV)

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world

When you are testing something you are comparing it to a standard and seeing whether or not it meats the approved standard. The one who sends men of God is Jesus, and he is the one who set the standard of approval in his word.

This does not just apply to prophets only but to all men of God. We have a commandment to test them to see if they are sent by God.

Jesus wants us to test everyone, who claims to speak on behalf of him, so that we know who has been sent by Jesus and who is sent by the devil.

2 Corinthians 11:13 (NKJV)   13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ

When speaking to the church of Ephesus, Jesus shows that he will reward those who successfully test men of God.

 Revelation 2:2 (NKJV)   2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars;

We should not bear with those who are evil. Paul rightly taught the church of Ephesus to expose the works of darkness.

 Ephesians 5:11 (NKJV)

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,  but rather expose them

We should test the men of God to see who is genuine and who is false. Just accepting everyone without testing, is bearing with evil. Testing the spirits is not a suggestion, it’s a commandment.

TEST 6 – Spirit of Falsehood

 1 John 4:6 (NIV)

6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood

The Apostle John. Tells us that whoever does not listen to the teaching of the apostles, is operating from a spirit of falsehood. If you have a revelation that contradicts the teaching of the first apostles then your revelation is from a false spirit.

When Jesus Christ left, he gave us two witnesses, The 12 Apostles and the Holy Spirit. These are Jesus Christ two witnesses.

 John 15:26-27 (ESV)

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

 Acts 5:32 (NIV)

32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

So the witness of the Spirit of truth will always agree with the teaching of the Apostles of Jesus. The apostle Paul puts it in a different way

 Galatians 1:8 (ESV)

8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed

Here are some examples of wrong teachings that we can use to identify the spirit of falsehood

 a) Sowing into the Gifts of God with Money

The Apostle Peter warns of false prophets who will bring in heresies and make merchandise of the people of God.

 2 Peter 2:1-3 (KJV)

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction

2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they  with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not

Peter himself had encountered one such false prophet. His name was also called Simon. Simon of Samaria was a sorcerer who heard the gospel of God and then he believed in Jesus, was baptised and possibly received the baptism of the Spirit. Let’s read what happened next:

 Acts 8:18-22 (NIV)

18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because  you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!  21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. 22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought  in your heart

Simon was offering money to the apostles, so he could move in the same gift and anointing that they moved in. Nowadays we call it, sowing into the anointing, or sowing into the grace of the man of God. Peter calls this a great wickedness, and says the person who does such things has no part or share in the ministry of God.

Jesus had instructed Peter and John strictly concerning how he gives gifts, and how they should be used.

 Matthew 10:8 (ESV)

8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying;  give without pay

Any preacher who teaches you that you must sow money to a man of God so that you can receive their grace, their anointing or their gift, is contradicting the teaching of Jesus and the apostles and thus serving a spirit of falsehood. He is preaching another gospel.

What’s wrong with paying money to access the gift of God?

Jesus Christ paid with his blood for our redemption and our salvation. He paid in full. The sacrifice of Jesus is the core of the gospel. When we try to buy the gift of God, we are saying that the sacrifice of Jesus was not enough. We have to add our $50 to access.

The apostle Paul calls this, confessing Jesus with your mouth, but denying him with your actions.

 Titus 1:16 (NIV)

16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him

However, the apostles teach us that God, who did not withhold His son, will also give us all things for free.

 Romans 8:32 (NKJV)

32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him  also freely give  us all things?

If you have a vision, dream or revelation that God requires you to pay a certain amount to the church or man of God, in order for you to receive your healing, breakthrough or deliverance then know that the vision, dream or revelation is not from the spirit of God. The spirit of God does not teach a different gospel than the gospel he taught the apostles.

Jesus paid in full, we access everything by grace through faith. Tithes and offerings are good for the welfare of the church, but they are not a condition for healing, prophecy or deliverance. Anyone who puts money as a condition for salvation, redemption, healing or deliverance, though he may confess the sacrifice of Jesus with his mouth, he is denying him with by his actions.

 B) Forbidding People to Eat Certain Foods

The bible tells us clearly that demonic spirits will teach certain Christians that they should abstain from certain meats. This is a doctrine of demons. If you receive a dream, revelation or vision that tells you that you ,must abstain from certain foods in order to please God, or in order to be c lean before God, then know for certain that the revelation came from an evil spirit.

The apostle warns:

 1 Timothy 4:1-5 (ESV)

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth

4  For everything created by God is goodand nothing is to be rejected  if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer

It is Jesus himself who had declared all foods clean.

 Mark 7:14-19 (ESV)

And he called the people to him again and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: 15 There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him.” 17 And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable

18 And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, 19 since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)

 C) Using Grace as a Licence to Sin

 Jude 1:4 (NIV)

4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord

Any revelation of grace that allows people to sin without consequence, is not from the spirit of God. The apostle Paul tells us to be careful, and not to be deceived by good sounding words.

 Ephesians 5:3-6 (NIV)

3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving

5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater —has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient

 3.) Do not Despise Prophecy

We are supposed to be cautious but not fearful. There are some Christians who have become so fearful of false prophets that they have decided to reject all prophecy from their churches. This is despising prophecy. The apostle Paul tells us how to be balanced.

 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 (ESV)

20  Do not despise prophecies, but test  everything; hold fast what is good

This is a very important principle. We should not reject prophecy in our churches and lives, but instead we should test the prophets and their prophecies, and hold on to those that are good.

In fact, even when we have trusted prophets in our church, we should always have other prophets judging what they are saying, so that the word they give is witnessed by two or three prophets. This is how the bible puts it.

 1 Corinthians 14:29-30 (NKJV)

29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 30 But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent

 1 Corinthians 14:29 (NIV)

29 Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said

The reason why this is done is because it is possible for true ministers of God to start in the spirit and then finish in the flesh. It can happen when preaching, praying or even prophesying or even in our general Christian walk.

One can give a sermon and they are in the spirit for the first 10 minutes, and then do another hour in the flesh. This used to happen to me when writing teachings. I would have the unction of the spirit, and after some time the unction would depart, yet, I have not finished writing. In the early days I would continue writing in the flesh. But I noticed that when the unction returns, I would just delete all things that I had written purely from my own flesh and reasoning.

If you are spiritual, you can even sense this when people are speaking to you, preaching or prophesying. Sometimes the prophet may be inexperienced and not know when to stop, and how to balance. Sometimes there is pressure from people who want you to keep prophesying. Anyways, the apostle Paul recommends that you have 2 or three prophets at a time, whilst others judge and weigh carefully what is being said.

Nowadays, churches will have one prophet who just prophesies continuously without any checks and balances, without any others to witness to what is being said. It doesn’t make them false prophets, it just means there is more room for error.

 1 Cor 13: 1 (KJV)

1…In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established

4.) Do not judge anything before it’s time

Whilst we are commanded to test the men of God and judge things with righteous judgement, there are some things that are not meant to be judged in this time. There are things which should not be judged at this time.

 1 Corinthians 4:5 (NKJV)

5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God

The context of this scripture is that the church of Corinth was trying to rank men of God to see who is greater than the other. Some were saying Peter is the greatest, others were saying Apollos is the greatest and others were elevating Paul as the greatest.

 1 Corinthians 3:5-8, 21 (NKJV)

5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor

21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are yours. 23 And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s

When Jesus comes, he is the one who will place each man of God in their position. He will reward each person, because he knows the hidden things of our hearts.

Even now, there is a tendency for Christians to rank men of God based on signs, based on power, based on gifts and based on amount of followers or even based on money. Some prophets are classified as major prophets and others as minor prophets. The bible has no such distinction. There are some men of God whom we call the generals and rank above other men of God. All this is judging things before their time.

Before Christ came, God sent many men to do his work. Men such as Enoch, Noah, Moses, Elijah, Isaiah, Abraham, David, Isaiah, Habakkuk, Amos, Daniel and many others.

The Jews created a classification of these men of God, and assigned prophets such as Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Ezekiel as major prophets because they had written large volumes of scriptures. People like Amos and Jonah were considered to be minor prophets. People like Daniel were not classified as actual prophets because he was a dreamer and interpreter of dreams.

When Jesus, the Messiah finally came, he shocked everyone. He picked a man who had performed no miracles, written no scriptures and not given any significant prophecies as the greatest of all people ever born. He picked John whose only work was dipping people in water.

 Matthew 11:11 (ESV)

11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he

Jesus promised us that when he returns he will shock us again. Many of those who are considered great now, will be given very low positions in heaven, and many people that we think are low, will be considered as great in heaven.

Matthew 19:30 (ESV)   30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first

So this habit of ranking men of God as major or minor, as generals or ordinary based on miracles, on volumes of their writing and on the size of their following is wrong. It is judging things before their time. It is Jesus who will reward and rank each man of God when he returns. And he may pick people we considered as ushers, and cleaners in our churches, as the greatest, people we despised, people who did no great miracles.

Paul explains.

 1 Corinthians 3:11-13 (NIV)

11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.

 1 John 2:26-27 (ESV)

26 I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. 27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him

So when it says, touch not my anointed, it’s not about Christians highlighting errors in a church or man of God, it’s about those who seek to harm and destroy the people of God.

 5. Look Out For Another Jesus

I would like to conclude this teaching by stressing the importance of learning to juI would like to conclude this teaching by touching on a sensitive issue of another Jesus. The bible warns us of Another Gospel that is preached by certain ministers, pointing people to another Jesus and leading them to receive another spirit.

 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 (ESV)

3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ

4 For if someone comes and proclaims  another Jesus  than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive  a different spirit  from the one you received, or if you accept  a different gospel  from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough

There is something very scary about this scripture. Think about it for a moment. The apostle Paul is saying that there are people preaching another Jesus. What? Another Jesus? Another Jesus!

What’s more concerning is that This Other Jesus actually raises his own apostles and prophets.

 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (ESV)

13 For such men are  false apostles,  deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness

False apostles, will inevitably plant false churches, with false prophets, false teachers and false brethren.

So it means these preachers preach Jesus, but the Jesus they are preaching is Another Jesus. They will say, in the name of Jesus, but referring to ANOTHER JESUS. So a person who hears this other gospel, and accepts this other Jesus, and receives this different spirit, may live and die, never knowing that they were serving a false Christ, in a false church.

For this reason, Jesus Christ says, many will confront him on the last day?

 Matthew 7:22-23 (ESV)

22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

So, what are the signs of another Jesus? Here is a simple way to know.

*THE LITMUS TEST FOR ANOTHER GOSPEL- ANOTHER JESUS*

let me present a sort of litmus test. A way for you to know if you have believed another gospel or not. People who believe another gospel, do not know that they have believed another Gospel. So it’s important to break things down into very simple terms.

The main purpose of another gospel is to introduce people to another Jesus, so they can receive another spirit.

*TEST 1

If there is any human being, living or dead, whom you are convinced, that if people do not believe in him as a messenger of God, then they won’t go to heaven, then that human being is another Jesus to you. This means, you have believed another gospel.

It does not matter how great that man is or was. It does not matter how gifted or how many signs he performed, if you believe that their is no salvation without following that man, you believe in another Jesus and another gospel.

TEST 2

If there is a denomination or church, that you believe, that if people don’t join it, they won’t get salvation, even if they believe the Bible. ‘

Then that denomination or church, has become another Jesus to you. You have believed another gospel.

TEST 3

If you believe that God can not address your problems, (marriage, finance, sickness) unless you have paid money to the church, you have believed another gospel.

TEST 4

If you believe that without the spiritual covering of a prophet of God, then you will not overcome evil, then that prophet has become another Jesus in your life.

You have believed another gospel.

TEST 5

If you are convinced that God can only address your issues through one person, living or dead, then that one person has become another Jesus.

You have believed another gospel.

As Paul says, another gospel which is not another, but a perversion of the gospel of Christ.

 6. Miracles are not a Sign of Truth

I believe according to Hebrews 8:13 that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I believe he heals the sick, cleanses the lepers and restores the eyes of the blind even today. I believe according to 1 Corinthians 1:6 that the church should not lack in any spiritual gifts until the coming of Christ.

However, one consistent sign that is repeated through out the bible, which will follow the false prophets of the last days is that they will be the great miracle workers.

 Matthew 24:24 (ESV)

24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform  great signs and wonders so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect

 2 Thessalonians 2:9 (NIV)

9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of  power through  signs and wonders  that serve the lie,

Revelation 16:14 (ESV)   4 For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty

 Revelation 13:13 (NKJV)

13 He performs  great signs,  so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men

The word translated as POWER is DUNAMIS, and it’s the same word translated as MIRACLE or MIGHTY WORKS. The false prophets here do not just perform regular signs, they perform great signs and wonders. The Greek word translated as great is MEGAS where we get the word mega. So these are mega miracles, mega signs, mega prophesies. Let’s remember that many of these miracles are being done in the name of Jesus, but another Jesus.

Among many Christians,  a person with great miracles is considered to be having great anointing of God.

Performing great miracles does not mean you are a false or true prophet. But the ministries of false prophets are centred around miracles. Miracles and signs are put in the fore front of everything, they are used to attract people to the church, and to keep people entertained in the church.

Paul, Peter, John, Stephen and other early apostles performed many great miracles, yet they are remembered mainly for their teaching about Christ. We remember Paul because of his teaching about Christ, though he performed many miracles.

The main mission of church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to teach people to observe the commandments of Jesus Christ.

 Matthew 28:19-20 (ESV)

19 Go therefore and  make disciples  of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20  teaching them to observe  all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Discipleship is not an event, it’s not about repeating a confession after the preacher, it’s a lifestyle dedicated to following and studying the precepts and teachings of Jesus Christ.

The lord Jesus established the four-fold ministry offices for 3 main reasons.

 Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12  to equip his people for works of service,  so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach  unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God  and become mature,  attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

In a false church, there is lots of miracles but there is no growth in the knowledge of the son of God, no raising to maturity, you remain dependent on the man of God forever, to always give you another miracle.

CONCLUSION: My Experience with Another Jesus

In conclusion I will share my experience with another Jesus in the spirit realm.

In March 2021, I had a very interesting experience with ANOTHER Jesus. I was sleeping on night and then I entered into a vision. In this vision I was lucid and I said, I want to meet Jesus. As soon as I said that. Someone appeared in front of me dressed in white. He looked for all intended purposes like what I would expect Jesus to look like. He immediately began to talk to me about my calling.  As he began to speak, his words were like a magnet that made me want to hear more and more. I have had experiences with the lord before, but there was just something off in this one.

The Lord has taught me about fallen angels, deceptions and many such so I have become more cautious. I know and have taught how to test angels, but how do you test Jesus? I was no longer paying attention as I kept wondering what was off about this Jesus.

As he spoke, another angel then came and grabbed him by the arm, and said, “come, let’s go”

That other angel then looked at me and said, “His real name is not Jesus, It’s Jason”

Then the experience ended. I was not really sure about the whole Jason thing. A few days later as I was speaking to a fellow brother in Christ who had also recently encountered a false heaven experience with a false Jesus, he then asked me to look into the Jason. So, I did, only to discover that Jason and Jesus are both Greek translations of the Hebrew name Yeshua. Yeshua in Greek can be written as Jesus or Jason. And in-fact there is a Jason in Greek mythology that is worshipped and is believed by some to be the source of the Jesus of the bible.

I believe God protects from all forms of attacks, and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can handle. He calls for us to be cautious, to be aware and to be vigilant. Let us do so.
